Jackie Chan Shooting "Baby"

Hollywood action hero Jackie Chan has begun shooting his latest action comedy in Hong Kong, tentatively titled "Project BB" or "Baby", his official website said Wednesday.

The martial arts star, who recently signed to star alongside Chris Tucker again in the third instalment of Hollywood action comedy "Rush Hour", said the film is being directed by Benny Chan, producer and director of his recent film "New Police Story". The movie, budgeted at around 130 million Hong Kong dollars ($16.7m), features Chinese leading actress Gao Yuanyuan, the star of Cannes Jury Prize-winning "Shanghai Dreams", as well as veteran kung fu experts Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung. The plot revolves around the calamitous capers of a bunch of small-time crooks after they steal a car without realising a small child is in it, according to Variety magazine.

Filming is scheduled to wrap up in March with an eye towards an October release in the US, it added. afp"

About 20,000 people visited the casino on its first day of business, where an opening celebration was held with action film star Jackie Chan as the host. Other visiting celebrities included Michael Hui and Louis Koo.

The hotel-casino, built by Emperor Entertainment Hotel Limited, holds over 300 brand new slot machines on three levels of casino gaming space, which also feature all of the classic table games, geared toward both high and low rollers. The casino also has a flashy entrance: 78 pieces of gold bars have been placed underneath the casino's lobby floor. They are heavily guarded 24 hours a day.

Emperor Entertainment Hotel Limited's Executive Director, Vanessa Fan, was reported as saying, 'The grand opening ceremony of our hotel has been scheduled for 20 January 2006. With the Macau economy developing rapidly and China continuing to relax travel restrictions, we believe the gaming industry in Macau will continue to boom and present us with abundant lucrative opportunities. Jackie Joins Cast of DreamWorks' Kung Fu Panda



DreamWorks Animation Announces Cast for 'Kung Fu Panda' GLENDALE, Calif., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DreamWorks Animation announced today that two-time Academy Award (R) winner Dustin Hoffman, international superstar Jackie Chan, and award-winning actor Ian McShane are joining Jack Black in the cast of the computer-animated comedy "Kung Fu Panda." In addition, award-winning actress Lucy Liu is currently in talks with the studio to voice another main role.


Jackie will be providing the voice of Master Monkey, a strong, agile and dedicated kung fu warrior who serves as a daily reminder to Po the Panda (Jack Black) of everything he is not. He will be also lend his expertise in martial arts as a technical advisor on the film.

Jackie at Pink Dolphin Square Dedication

On September 24th Jackie, who is Hong Kong's Tourism Ambassador, attended the Opening Ceremony for Pink Dolphin Square at the Gold Coast Hotel in Tuen Mun. Pink Dolphin Square, located at the headland of Golden Beach, is a tribute to Hong Kong's famous pink dolphins. The square, fully sponsored and constructed by the Sino Group, has a dolphin statue 9 meters high, 6.45 meters wide, and 11 meters long. It consists of three pink dolphins: one large, one medium and one small. The SINO Group also donated HK$200,000 to the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation at the event, which was held indoors because of the rainy Hong Kong weather.
